Testimonies

“Dr. Delabar is not only a phenomenal veterinarian but an incredibly caring individual. You can tell she cares deeply about all of her patients and treats them as if they were her own. These qualities, in addition to her ability to share extensive knowledge and understanding of animal behavior in a way that resonates with clients, make her work as a behavior specialist very effective. She has transformed my previously extremely anxious dog Moon into a dog that is now emotionally regulated and able to enjoy life without feeling constant fear and anxiety about the world around her. Moons transformation would never have been possible without Dr. Delabar and I highly recommend her services as a general practitioner and behavior specialist for all pets, especially those struggling with behavioral issues.”

I feel so lucky to have found a vet who has the patience and compassion to work with me and my dog. Crash has aggression towards unfamiliar people and dogs that stems from fear. Instead of "flight," Crash's response to scary situations is "fight." This makes traditional trips to the vet nearly impossible; other vets have struggled just to give him basic exam or routine shots. He won't let them touch him. Working with Dr. Anna has been completely different; her fear-free approach and expertise in animal behavior creates an environment that reduces stressors and respects his boundaries. As we continue to work on cooperative care techniques so Crash can ultimately be comfortable getting that routine veterinary care, I'm so thankful that Dr. Anna has been nothing but understanding, kind, sympathetic, and helpful. She knows that, despite all the growling and nervousness he displays at her office, there's a loveable teddy bear of a dog underneath that fear!

When we first welcomed Ludo into our home, we were overwhelmed. Having been dumped on the street, Ludo’s past left us uncertain and often questioning whether we were equipped to meet his needs. We cried a lot during those first few weeks, questioning if we were in over our heads. That’s when we turned to Dr. Delabar for guidance. Dr. Delabar’s approach focused on addressing Ludo’s needs first, emphasizing positive reinforcement rather than punishment. This method proved to be incredibly effective in helping Ludo adjust and thrive. Her expertise also enabled us to identify and manage pain issues, despite his young age, which significantly improved his overall happiness and well-being. Over time, Ludo’s anxieties decreased, and he became more playful and confident.

While the process took time, we wouldn’t change a thing. Ludo is now a healthy, happy dog, and we are deeply grateful for the invaluable support and guidance Dr. Delabar provided throughout our journey. We feel incredibly fortunate to have had her expertise to help Ludo become the well-adjusted companion he is today.
